Linen Drapery--Cheap Cheat

I have a sneaky way to get the look of linen drapery at a fraction of the price...paint tarps.  The flooring, bedding and drapery in this master bedroom needed to be quieted in order to highlight the beautiful furnishings.  The goal was to have a very cozy and inviting space with a European feel.  I spent the majority of the budget purchasing a new mattress set, new bedding and the linen chaise from Lee Industries.  Once I saw Bella Notte bedding, I had to have some of it in my life.  The whisper linen dust ruffle and shams are from Bella Notte.  The duvet, matelasse and shams are from Pine Cone Hill.

In order to purchase new lighting and wall decor, I had to find a budget friendly way to update my window treatments.    I had the lined, extra wide panels made from paint tarps from Home Depot (or Lowe's).  I had the workroom attach ivory grosgrain ribbon to hide the seams and make them look a bit more custom.   The sheers were made by sewing together double widths of scrim fabric for each side.  They bring a soft, vintage look and add ambiance for a very reasonable price.  The XL double rod Antique Brass window hardware is from Pottery Barn.
